Evelyn Marie Gehringer

Gehringer, Evelyn Marie Howell, MI Age 83, passed away in Ingham County on Wednesday, November 30, 2005. She was born in Deerfield Township, MI, June 24, 1922, the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary (Murphy) Scullin. On June 11, 1949, Evelyn married her loving husband of 52 years, Christopher “Jake” Gehringer who preceded her in death, April 6, 2002. Evelyn worked as a court clerk in Livingston County’s 53rd District Court for many years. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and served in the Altar Society. She is survived by her sons Daniel (Sharon) of California, Dennis (Laurie) of Howell, and David (Donna) of Mason, 7 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, brother-in-law Gerry Gehringer of Howell and sister-in-laws; Anna Rosher, Holt, MI and Maxine Latson of Howell . Evelyn was preceded in death by her grandson Joseph and her sister Monica. A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM Monday, December 5, 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Bill Ashbaugh officiating with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Joseph Catholic Church. Envelopes will be available at the Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel.
