Evelyn H. (Viele) Hayden, 96, passed away on March 14, 2025 at Life Care Center in Wilbraham. One of three daughters to the late George and Hazel (Williams) Viele, she was born on September 4, 1928 in Milford, MA. Evelyn graduated from Milford High School and worked as a Claims Supervisor for Aetna insurance. She was the wife of the late Richard F. Hayden (2012) and together they celebrated 62 years of marriage. Proud of her Irish heritage, Evelyn was formerly a member of the John Boyle O'Reilly Club, as well as the Sons of Erin. She is survived by her sons, Richard F. Hayden, Jr., and his wife, Karen, of California and Scott T. Hayden and his wife, Lisa, of Chicopee, and by her daughter, Linda E. Papuga and her husband, Donald, of Chicopee, as well as her six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Evelyn was also predeceased by her two sisters, Mae Revell and Arlene Blackmore. Funeral Services for Evelyn will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee. A period of visitation will take place from 9:00 to 10:30am, and a prayer service will begin shortly thereafter, followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery, in Chicopee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Evelyn's name can be made to Life Care Center in Wilbraham, 2399 Boston Rd., Wilbraham, MA 01095. Rest in peace sweet Mimi! Evelyn was an amazing mother, wife, mimi, ma, and friend. Always happy and positive and man... she cook a mean Sunday dinner! Her presence will be missed but her spirit lives on in her children, grandkids and great grandkids. Evelyn radiated love and will be missed by all!
