Not sure what to say?

August 3, 2012

Mrs. Hopper was my 4th grade teacher and my favorite teacher growing up. She made me feel special and cared about. I loved her. Sometimes, she even called me, "my little girl." I'll never forget that.

The year she was my teacher, i was going through some difficult times at home and in my life. Mrs. Hopper provided kindness and stability when i needed it. I never forgot her.

A couple of years ago, I contacted her again, and let her know...

Mrs. Hopper was my 4th grade teacher; but she was so much more than that to me. She helped me through one of the most difficult years of my life, as my parents were divorcing, and I didn't have very many people that I could talk to. She gave me so much support, encouragement, and love; I remember many talks with her, they meant so much to me, and helped me through a day, a week, a month... I have never forgotten her, and to my surprise, she never forgot me. I ran into her several times...

Mrs. Hopper, that is the only way I could ever bring myself to address her, The amount of respect I have for my favorite teacher cannot be expressed here. She was one of the many and the first teacher that instilled a love of learning that I have to this day. I am proud to have had her as a Teacher. Finally to her eternal reward that is so well deserved. She blessed everyone she touched. Thank you Lord for giving us Mrs. Hopper.

To all the family, I was sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was truly a kind and caring woman. I was able to catch up a little when I visited with her at my own mother's funeral. Brought back a lot of good memories of the old neighborhood on Ave. D. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I was so sorry to hear about your Mom passing, Carol and Don. She was a wonderful woman. I remember spending lots of time at your home growing up. We had fun. She's your special angel now. Please take care.

Evelyn was my sister, she helped take care of my when I was young, loved me and watched out over me even as I grew up. I will miss her, her smile and the love that she gave to me, unconditionally. Thanks to all that have given tribute to her. You have been an inspiration to our family.

Don and Carol, I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss. Your mother was a wonderful lady and I'll alway remember her kindness. I pray that you feel God's loving embrace during this very difficult time. Continued prayers...
