Not sure what to say?

Hey Ev! Guess what? The world has gone totally NUTS...even too nuts for your liking. Miss you every day!

Dunno if I ever shared any photos here. This is a panoramic of Evelyn in her studio I captured on July 7, 2011.

Ev was the bomb. Although I didn´t know it at the time she opened the door to so many things I would do in life with her "Go for it!" attitude. I miss her every day!

Evelyn Leavens was a mentor, friend and inspiration as I was growing up as an artist. I will always remember the fond memories of Evelyn when I use to come to her home for art lessons every Friday after school. As I pursued the arts, her knowledge gave me a head start on achieving excellence as a painter. I was thinking about her the other day when I drove passed her development in Red Bank. Thank you Evelyn for all the guidance and transparent truth you always gave on all aspects of...

Evelyn was a very special person in my life as my first and only private art teacher beginning at age 7 and lasting up until I left for art school at age 18. Words can't explain how important she was to me. I know many others felt the same.
Thank you for all that you taught me as a young child and for your gift of friendship over 50 years.I will miss you and never forget you - I will always love you

Ms. Leavens was an amazing woman. She was my art teacher for years. I learned a lot under her skilled hand. She was a talented artist with a wicked sense of humor. I'll always remember the way she threw herself into Halloween and her spooky laugh she loved to use during October. She was a great person to know and she really helped me grow in my own style.

She was my art teacher when I was very young. A great inspiration for a young kid who learned if you made a big painting...you could just cut a hole in the cieling to get it out...made me believe anything was possible.

Miss you lemons. Thanks for being my friend.

A beautiful person.....a marvelous talent. Will always teasure the drawing you did for our family. Rest in peace, Evelyn.
