Not sure what to say?

Dear McGee family, I grew up in Marion with Patti. Her mother had one of the most beautiful gardens in the area. Patti,as a teenager, also had an accordion she played at church. I was in awe of her little piano. When we moved here as young adults, she and Peter were so good to us. They made us part of Charleston. Our admiration of her many successful endeavors will be with us always. Kitty and Hunter McEaddy

I will miss her smiling face around the infusion center. Jenny C.

If there was a marriage made in Heaven, it was Patti and Peter McGee´s. Never a cross word, always delighting in each other with the ever present gift of laughter. She even laughed at her condition, knowing this was not the real Patti. She has left this Holy City and green Earth a better place and has exchanged her husk for the true kernel of who she is, restored to her radiant beauty, and has entered in to the joy of the Master Gardener´s service.

Patty was the classiest southern lady and i loved her dearly we were friends thru all the years i did her hair and she will be missed very much! My prayers go out to her wonderful family patty Rest In Peace! We all love you! Frances london dubose!

Like everyone who ever met Patti, I loved her and will miss her light and laughter on this earth.

My deepest condolences to Peter and the girls. Patti was a great friend who I met during my years in Charleston. We were great gardening friends who shared a love for the Elizabeth Lawrence Garden in Charlotte that Patti helped preserve. So sorry that travel restrictions the past few years prevented my seeing the SI garden.

Mrs. McGee was like a second mom to me. I spent countless nights at the house on Church Street from 7th grade all the way to my wedding day. We had moved to Atlanta but I wanted to get married in my hometown and Mrs. McGee was so gracious to let me be the bride at her house. It was so so special! I also looked forward to seeing her ever changing garden. She was an artist. Also, funny enough I also remember her being magical with the Cuisinart! Those were the new hot thing in the seventies...

Such a wonderful woman who so kindly welcomed me into your family -- and worked wonders on the weedy garden I left behind on Ion! I will miss knowing that she is still tending to it. My heart goes out to you all. Susan

Oh girls! I am so sorry she is gone from her earthly home & know you will miss her every day. She was very special to Louie & me & always made us feel welcome & warm. Much love to your Dad please. Love you all! Marie Condon (Hon Louis E Condon)
