Evelyn Hall Meacham

The Meacham family were "next door neighbors" during my growing-up in Hampden, and Evie and my mother were friends who shared many interests and activities. My condolences go to Nancy and family. Keep the happy memories!

I have fond memories of my mother taking me to The Yardstick where Evelyn helped us pick patterns and fabric, thread and trim. She was always welcoming and helpful. She was a sweet lady.

Nancy and Paul, Evie´s is a life to be celebrated! My memories go back nearly 68 yrs. There is a photo of me, being brought home from the hospital in your parent´s car when I was born. Our parents were best friends. Poor souls, they had to take me along everywhere. Camping, vacations, road trips, church fairs, picnics at Skinner Mountain, the list goes on and on. How fortunate I felt even as a child to have Evie and Bob loving me. Friendships like our parents had are rare, very special...
