Not sure what to say?

High school is such a waste in so many ways ...except for Ms mills.. She was the greatest English teacher and for that matter the greatest teacher I ever had .i think about her and I will miss her exceptional guidance and wisdom..she was an original and I´m sure she will be missed from so many past students

Anyone who hasn't should immediately read John Beifus' memorial in the CA (link below). My experience was the same as his in that, while I only had her as a teacher for one year, she's been the one I've remembered most fondly...and when I came back to WSHS for my 50th, to my amazement, she absolutely remembered me. She made (first year) Latin fun, and helped me feel that I was smart. I am so grateful to her. If we had more Evelyn Mills more of us would grow into better citizens...and...

Those of us who taught with Evelyn at White Station High School loved her and knew what a jewel she was. We loved her dearly. The same could be said of her close friend, librarian Irma Roberts. They and others helped to build WSHS into the fine school it is today. Soar high into the heavens, Evelyn and Irma!

I was in her latin class. She had a good sense of humor. Tablecloth shirts were in style and the boys conspired to all wear the same color shirt on the same day. She took our gag in style!

I just read about Evelyn...she and Aunt Irma we such good friends and travel buddies just like her to go join her on this their last earthly trip! Evelyn was such fun to be around. Always smiling... Take comfort in knowing she was loved by so many.

I agree with others in posting-one of the best teachers who was so smart and inspiring . Always challenging in her assignments -but credit her with other excellent WSHS teachers for love of literature and exploring worldly topics ! Blessings to her family .

She was my favorite teacher, challenging me to be the best person I could be. John McCormick WSHS `65

I was blessed to have Mrs. Mills as my teacher and friend. She was the hardest teacher I had at White Station but I learned so much from her knowledge of teaching!!!! She was always interested in her former students and their accomplishments in life. I will miss her. Tana Gary Reynolds class of 1974
