Evelyn Beatrice Wingo Moore

Evelyn Beatrice Wingo Moore, 84, formerly of Iuka, Mississippi, died Wednesday, November 22, 2006, at the Magnolia Regional Health Care Center in Corinth, MS. She was born Evelyn Beatrice Wingo on August 16, 1922, in Nixon, Tennessee, to Charles W.W. and Florence Magnolia (Cheek) Wingo. She was married to James B. Moore from 1963 until his death in 1998. Mrs. Moore, whom many knew as “Ms. Eve” was severely injured in 1997 when a large truck out of control in a curve overran her automobile. However, she gave testimony that her Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, was with her and she knew she would live with His help. With excellent medical, custodial care, and support of loving family, friends, and church, her life gave evidence of God’s power and love. Mrs. Moore was a member of South Crossroads Baptist Church in Tishomingo. She was active in the Homemakers Club. She had been a resident of the Southern Magnolia Estates assisted living facility at Belmont for the past year. Visitation is scheduled for 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM on Friday, November 24, 2006, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m., on Friday, November 24, 2006, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Mike Nabors and Bro. Tim Ryan. Interment will follow in South Crossroads Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 2 sisters; Thelma Rinehart of Rienzi and Pauline Cartwright of Blackland. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. Her parents and the following brothers and sisters preceded her in death: Willie Wingo, Zora May Wingo Smith, Clarence Dorman Wingo, Walter Frank Wingo, Elijah Wingo, Harold Noble Wingo, and Velma Ernestine Wingo Rorie.
