I am sad to acknowledge the passing of EVELYN J. POWERS, who was a friend, mentor, poker player, theater producer, manager, actress, songwriter, fund-raiser . . . and hostess to an annual christmas sing-along party! I've known her almost 50 years, especially when she lived in NY in the 70's and 80's and was active in the theater community. Definitely larger than life, unique, and unforgettable!

Knew her in high school, she was a presence to put it mildly, always dynamic / upbeat and supportive of artistic clubs in general .. enjoyed her performances in theater productions, and talking to her at several high school reunions including the 50th .. very sorry to hear she is gone .. Wade Shull
