Evelyn and I did so many school musicals together. I really appreciated her help. We had such fun. Evelyn had my family mesmerized one evening at our home telling my sons about her days in the prison camp. Music can be a saving grace. We are far away from South Hadley but near our sons and that seems so great as Bob is dealing with cancer as I was 7 years ago. Dear Evelyn shall be missed, but remembered for her music and joy of life.Love to you all.

Evelyn was awesome. Those who knew her knew her sense of humor, her strong will, her heart. She was my grandmother and I will never forget her. She made me laugh when others couldn't.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Aunt Effie a couple of times, but I always remember her warm hugs and big smiles. She will be missed by many.
