Not sure what to say?

I truly loved Evelyn. Having known her since I was in my teens from Elyria FUMC, I was happy to get to know her even better during my time at the helm of Wesleyan Senior Living Foundation. She became a dear friend, and I cherish having had the chance to spend time with her. She was such a wonderful example of Christian love and service. She was also a funny, talented, good-spirited person who loved to laugh. Evelyn will be truly missed, but she has certainly earned her heavenly reward, and...

A fine individual, an ever-seeking follower of Jesus, filled with kindness, wit, intelligence, & love. Thanks be to God for all Evelyn has done in this world.

A beautiful, loving Christian woman who lived an amazing life. She and Alva were perfect partners in Christian ministry and service. Since I met then at Oberlin in 1953 I have held this wonderful couple in highest esteem. Now they are together with our Risen Lord! Blake and Gere

Aunt Evelyn was an extraordinary lady who exhibited grace and an inner peace that few possess. Aunt Evelyn always seemed interested in one's life even through months, even years, may have passed since a letter or phone call came her way. Her handwriting was particularly beautiful. I will remember the lovely lilt of your voice that seemed to smile in...

Aunt Evelyn was a much-loved, much-respected, loving, caring Christian lady! She always made me feel so special, had the best laugh, and gave the best words of encouragement. I will cherish all the memories we have of her and will forever be thankful she was my beloved aunt. I miss her already, but can only imagine how happy she must be in heaven---and look forward to the day we meet again.
