Not sure what to say?

I was just in the office yesterday and teared over her memorial they have permanently placed in the waiting room. I didn't realize we were right at the date and I certainly can't believe it's been four years. She was a wonderful person and professional.

I just learned about Dr Vanderveen's passing on 3-23-21. I have struggled with alopecia since I was young. I went to her office for the first time in the early 90's when I started having problems with my hair loss again. She was the first doctor to diagnose me with alopecia. She was always so kind to me every time I went to see her to get injections. I was skeptical that they would work, but my hair stopped falling out and started growing back. It truly changed my life. I wish I had...

I can't believe its been 3 years since her passing. She was the best and I still miss her to this day. My husband and I have not found anyone to compare to her knowledge and skills and caring abilities. She was truly one of a kind in her profession.

I'm so sorry this is so late but I was just made aware of Dr. Vanderveen's passing. I'm in shock and very saddened I first saw her in 1988 and she was the very first Dermatologist I ever saw and she played a crucial role in my life. I was diagnosed with HS by her and she hooked me up with a surgeon as well! She was kind and very understanding. I had to switch to a Dermatologist who was closer to where I live and the last time I saw her had to be over 7 years ago. She will always have a...

As I was going thru some papers mom left me when she passed. I had some info on my surgeries and found out that Dr. Evelyn as she allowed a scared 14 year old boy to call her as he went thru cancer treatment. I really wish I could have found this sooner so that I could have thanked her one more time.

She truly was the best in her profession and her spirit was always so positive. She's missed so much.

I really miss Dr. Vanderveen. I haven't found anyone to replace her in the dermatology field. She was one of a kind. I think of her every time I drive by her office.

I just learned today of Dr. Vanderveen's death. I am so incredibly sad. I feel like I lost a treasured friend. I first needed her several years ago for a Mohs procedure on my face after two excision attempts by another physician failed to completely eradicate the cancer. She did an amazing job . . . The scar is barely discernible. Thus . . . I continued to see her for regular check ups despite the distance (from Pentwater). I'm so sad . . . Her husband and staff must be devastated ......

I still can't believe she is gone. She was sick for such a short time. Her professional expertise will be missed in the dermatology field. There is no one to replace her in this field. She was one of a kind.
