Not sure what to say?

She was a tough, but fair teacher. She had a great memory. I met her as a freshman, and had her class as a senior, and still remembered who I was. I spent some one on one time with her. She was amazing, caring and smart.

So sad to hear of Ms. Weckerlys passing. Once I graduate and I thought back to my school days, Ms. Weckerly stood out to me. I was an assistant to her for maybe a year and had her as a teacher. I thought to myself....she was blind and could have stayed home and collected disability, but that woman WALKED to work EVERYDAY and did her job and did it well. I have so much RESPECT for her and all that she did in her lifetime. What an amazing woman!

I had Ms Weckerly for English and was also her teachers aide for a couple years. She was a strict teacher in the classroom for sure. But, I also got to enjoy tea and cookies with her as her assistant. Along with great conversation. RIP Ms Weckerly

I had Ms. Weckerly for English class, and she was not an "easy" teacher. She was not a pushover as I soon learned! She was very firm, and also very fair. I have to admit, she amazed me. I would see her every morning and evening walking, by herself, to and from her condo on Seminole. Heaven definitely gained an angel. May she RIP.

I remember Ms. Weckerly from MSHS. She was a great teacher, and had a wry sense of humor, and many never caught on. May her memory be eternal.

I was a student at Mona Shores in the late 60´, when Miss Weckerly became a teacher. Even though I was not one of her students, I had a great respect for her and how brave she was. High school students can be hell.

Evelyn was a remarkable person. We really enjoyed her piano playing. We also enjoyed playing pinochle with her 'marked' cards. She accomplished so much in life and did not let her handicap stop her. She was a fun person to be with.

What an amazing lady! I never had her for a teacher at Mona Shores, but I was always fascinated watching her maneuver through the hallways between classes. If you didn't see her cane, you would never know she was blind. I have thought of her off and on since those high school years. Now I know that her love of the scriptures and relationship with Jesus Christ built that resilience in her. I will meet her once again in the future. Godspeed - Miss Weckerly!

Miss Weckerly, was a wonderful, strong and amazing teacher! I had her for English comp. She keep All her students in line. Now she is teacher students in heaven. She will be dearly missed. God Bless, her.
