1930-2017
Evelyn L. Widacki born on September 23, 1930 to Edward and Rosie Bielamowicz in Bremond, Texas. She was a resident of Houston, Texas for over 60 years. On "Good Friday" morning Evelyn passed peacefully with our Dear Lord and Savior. Evelyn's passions were spending time with her family, watching her grandbabies, cooking, sewing, watching her Soap Opera's and her John Wayne Western movies. She was preceeded in death by her parents Edward and Rosie, her brother Benjamin, her husband Eugene of 42 years, and her daughter Elizabeth. She is survived by her sister Helen Jenswold, as well as her children Eugenia Liebscher and husband Roy, Elaine Van Houten and husband Lonnie, and Son-In-Law Terry Smith (husband of Elizabeth), Mary Jo Janacek and husband Kenny, and Debbie Wilganowski and husband Chuck, 12 Loving grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Viewing will take place on Monday, 4/17/17 at Heights Funeral Home from 5:00 – 8:00 pm and rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, 4/18/17 at 11:00 am at Christ The King Catholic Church. Rite Of Committal to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetary. Those honored as pall bearers are Grandsons Kyle Liebscher, Eddie Janacek, Peter Van Houten, Daniel Smith, and Dalton Wilganowski and Nephews David Widacki and Tommy Widacki. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Memory of Evelyn Widacki to The Alzheimer's Association @ alz.org.

So very sorry to hear of your loss, Janie phoned me last night. She will be greatly missed, but know that she is in "loving, kind arms with all restored," and she is at peace with all who loved her that she has missed. To the family of Aunt Evelyn. I just wanted to say I'm sorry for your loss, and that Aunt Evelyn was a good sister-in-law, to my mother Celestine, helping her out by sitting with daddy when mom had to go run errands. And afterward having lunch with her, keeping her company once in a while. God Bless her! And I know she will be missed!
