Uncle Gene was a stable image for me
while I was growing up as was Emma Lee. My father Cecil was their oldest brother and died at the young age of 41. Gene and Emma Lee always kept me

The passing of my Uncle Gene was expected yet still hurt terribly. When I spoke to him on the telephone, he sounded so much like my own father and I loved to hear that sound. At our family reunions, Uncle Gene was always willing to take us anyplace relating to the Bryson family heritage, and if he tired of relating the history of this or tht, he did not show it. The last picture I took of him was not so long ago, sitting on the front fender of a car, his hat tilted to one side, blue eyes...

Lula and family - they just don't come any better than Gene. He was truly one of the finest gentlemen we have ever known. He was kind, smart, sweet and funny. We will miss him terribly. Gene loved God but God loved Gene even better. It makes a smile come to our faces to think of Gene meeting Jesus face to face on Christmas morning. God bless you all.

We all agree that Uncle Gene was one of our favorite people. He always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye for everyone. We loved to hear the stories about him working with the elderly. He enjoyed them so much and I am sure that they loved him even more.

I remember all the good times Gene and I had together, going to school in Stow, Ohio. He was a grand person and I have many fond memories of him. My best to all his family and friends. Warmly, Ken Callahan
