Everett is survived by his partner of seven years (Shirley Warren) and his seven children and their families: Michael (Allison), John (Debi), David, Janet, Sue (Roger), Tim and Julie. Edit: Tim (Tu) - I finally found the love of my life Pops! You'd love her too. So sad you aren't here to meet her. Miss you Grampenstein!

Thanks for being a wonderful dad and so glad I got to spend so much time with you in your later years. Miss you everyday grampie!!

I played with Ev in the fall of 1975 when we both sat in with the Marin Jr. College jazz band. I knew he was the real deal of a trumpet player, but none of his background. He sold me one of his trumpets which I still have. We played the end of semester public performance, and he let me play lead. It was my greatest and last performance, my soon to be wife in the audience. I´ve long looked back with a warm grateful feeling for what he did for me. He saw a kid who loved playing trumpet and...
