Not sure what to say?

Karen, Billy, and family. My mom and I were just at dinner talking about Plain Road and we were reminiscing and so many stories about your dad came up. I decided to look to see if he was still on Plain road and found his obituary. I loved reading it. I laughed and cried. The parade before the fair! I remember the sheep in your garage. So many wonderful memories. I´m so sorry for your loss; Ev was such a kind man. My condolences. Michele Marscher 204 plain rd- next to Stanley and...

Healing thoughts to you all. I was introduced to "Mr. Hatch" as a child when my parents were 4H Leaders. He was well-known and appreciated by many for his wealth of knowledge. I continued as an adult to "follow" Ev and his journey. His strawberry fields yielded many smiles. He will always be remembered with fondness.

I am so sorry to read of Ev's passing. He was one of the dearest men I knew from my years of reporting on farming and his years as a county commissioner, but also from strawberry picking. A gem of a human being whom I've thought about a lot in recent years. May the memory of Everett be a blessing.
