DANBURY -- Everett M. Heath, 95, formerly of Route 4, died June 10, 2009, at New London Hospital.
He was born in Danbury on June 12, 1913, the son of Frank and Bernice Heath. He lived in town most of his life until moving to New London in 2007.
He worked as a carpenter and builder for the Civilian Conservation Corps.
Mr. Heath worked for the state for 34 years, retiring in 1975 as construction foreman. He also sold ice fishing bait from his home.
Mr. Heath was a member of Kearsarge Lodge 81 F & AM and was a Master Mason. He raised pansies and sold wood.
His wife of 66 years, Dorothy M. Heath, died in 2001.
He was predeceased by a son, Melvin, in 1967, and by four siblings.
The family includes two sons, Kenneth E. Heath of East Andover and Francis A. Heath of Danbury; one granddaughter; a grandson; nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main St., New London. Kearsarge Lodge will conduct Masonic services at 7 p.m.
A funeral service is 1 p.m. Monday in South Danbury Christian Church, with the Rev. Charles Higgins officiating.
