Everett was my first lieutenant in Henrico but i dare say he probably had many other youngsters to come along under him. He was very kind and understand gentleman. He definitely was a firefighters' officer. One that took care of you and had your back. He will be missed not only by his family but by his extended brothers and sisters of the fire service. Prayers to those that will miss him the most.

Logan was my first black Lt. that I worked for in Henrico ( sta. 12 ) , as a matter of fact he was one of, I think two others in the county at that time. J. as I called him, turned me over as an acting fire fighter, so we go way back. My first acting firefighter job we had a big apartment fire and I marked on scene, asked J to take your job back and I'II fight the fire. Rest in peace brother, job well done.
