I played on a quiz bowl team with Everett once back in 2017. So awful that he wound up dying this way.

Heartbroken, devastated by this news. Everett was well known to us as our son Julian´s good friend. He adopted the stray kitty we found and gave him lots of love, and a home. We send our deepest, heartfelt sorrow and condolences and appreciation for his life to the family, and hope an outpouring of love will give moments of easing of grief. Sending much love to the family.
