I just discovered this news today. I am deeply saddened. Evette was a great joy, a wonderful person filled with happiness and wisdom. I was close to her and her husband Arthur when we were young, but after moving abroad 28 years ago, we lost touch. Evette and I wrote some songs together -- she was so talented and clever.
