Evone Bare Redhair, 81 went to meet her Lord and Savior on February 16, 2013. She was the youngest of 7 brothers and 4 sisters and the last survivor of 12 children of Lee and Polly Bare. She loved to travel through out the United States with Alaska being one of her favorites. She enjoyed creating many styles of arts and crafts. Her many outdoor activities ranged from family picnics to golfing with friends and family.
She enjoyed dining out with the other members of the Gloucester Red Hatters. She was a member of the World Outreach Worship Center located in Denbigh as well as Newington Baptist Church in Gloucester.
Evone had a deep love for family including her many nieces and nephews and loved them all very much. She is survived by her husband Orval Warren Redhair, two sons, William T. Nelson(wife Theresa) and Grayland Nelson, her grandchildren; William Daniel "Danny" Nelson and Christopher "Chris" Adam Nelson., great-granddaughter Ashley Nicole Nelson, her husbands children, Paul James (wife Cindy) and Kathy James.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Dr. Ronald Haggerty and staff, Carla Jones, Kecia Parker, and the staff of Riverside Walter Reed Hospice staff.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. with funeral services being on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Pastor Bobby Collins and Pastor Russell Everson. Burial will be in Windsor Gardens Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Newington Baptist Church, 6169 Main St. Gloucester, Va. 23061 or to World Outreach Worship Center, 1233 Shields Road, Newport News, Va. 23608.
