Not sure what to say?

Lisa, Tate and Bart,
I have very fond memories of your Dad from our time together as neighbors so many years ago. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always teasing me about something or another. I know my parents thought the world of him and it seems that he had great impact on others as well.
Sorry to hear that the world lost a kind and genuine man.

He was such a character -- he called me the cookie lady because I made some cookies for our weekly Skunk Bay bonfire that he said were his favorite cookies ever. Sadly, I had slightly burned the carmel syrup and had thought to throw them out but he claimed that they were delicious. I always made those cookies when I knew he was coming. And he always made his world famous popcorn. He reminded me of my grandfather. Such a great sense of humor and good nature. We loved him.

A great tribute to a great man! I remember Birthday Club Baseball games, Kids vs Adults. He was really one of the kids! He left a positive mark on many and will surely be missed.

Very nice. Bartow was a special and fun uncle.

The Phillips Clan extends our sincere condolences to Lisa, Bart and Tate and extended families. We couldn't have asked for better neighbors than Marilyn and Bartow, and we miss them very much. Cheers for a life (lives) well lived!

S0 sorry to lose the friendship of Bartow. He was well loved here on Skunk Bay. His time here was much too short but greatly enjoyed. My condolences to all his family.

Sorrowfully,

Ruth Strahm
