I was sorry to hear of Judge Giles passing. I interned for him in the summer of 2005 while he was in the Criminal Division in Essex County. I learned a lot while working for him. He influenced and challenged my understanding of the criminal justice system and made me a better lawyer for it. My sincerest condolences.

A man that will be missed by so many. Judge Giles had a spirit that filled every room he entered with his booming voice. He watched over and guided many in law school who still look up to him. Ask him a question and he always had the answer. A true friend who always made the time for me, and for that I am grateful.

So sorry for your loss. The judge read to my third graders for Read Across America . He was a tremendous hit. Third graders are a tough audience! RIP judge.
