Not sure what to say?

Ray will be truly missed .

To Grace & the rest of the Lester Family; we loved Ray and will miss him tremendously. However, He has left us with many memories from The Almaden Valley Rotary Club functions and fund raisers. Ray was a master at planning and executing BBQ's and tailgate parties. He would pass on his knowledge and suggestions on how to do it better next time. It was "Ray's" way...

Ray Lester stand in the last prune orchard in SJ, 2003

Ray was a kind soul. He allowed me to interview him for a video documentary that I directed in 2003. The documentary is about how the Valley of Heart's Delight transformed into Silicon Valley. I was impressed with Ray's openness and his on-camera charm. Attached is a photo of him standing in the last prune orchard in San Jose. He will be missed by all that knew him.

My deepest sympathy goes to you Grace, and your family. Ray was the most thoughtful, kindest, sweetest, gentleman I have known. I feel priveleged to have known him. God bless you and your family Grace.

Ray for the time I have know you and Grace you both have been wonderful people to And times when I stop by you both were always happy and never complainted about anything or any one Ray your stories you told me about Hawaii and you and Grace and being in the service I will always remember that. You will alwys be in Heart and aways there When I need to talk. You were a great Listener to anything. God will take care you now. Love always Cyndy

Our condolences to the Lester family from your friends and family in the Napa Valley. I have many fond remembrances of times spent with the Lester clan, particularly Ray at the San Jose State football games. Best Wishes, Mike and Melinda Hubbard
