Austin was an asset to Springfield and a caring individual. His death is a loss. I will remember him fondly. Please accept my condolences.

Such a truly wonderful human being. A man I was privledged to know and whose company I so thoroughly enjoyed. Every interaction with Austin always made the day a little brighter for me. He was so accomplished at what he did, so caring and respectful of others, and he so cherished his wife and children. My deepest sympathies to his family and to his many many friends & associates. We are all better for having known you, Austin. You have left us with so many special memories and we will so...

I met Austin about two years ago and we became close friends quickly. Austin had a knack for making friendships based on his intellect, wit and heart. A true advocated for affordable housing. We've lost a great friend.

I worked for Austin for many years during the early days of my career. He was one of the most creative and committed community developers that I have ever known and I learned a great deal from him. While I haven't seen him in a long while, I can only imagine how deeply missed he will be by the Western Mass affordable housing community. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

I have only known Austin a few short years. During that time I came to appreciate very much his intellect, knowledge, humor and friendship. His accomplishments to community are many and varied, especially affordable housing. He will be sorely missed.

Sorry to hear of Austin's passing. He was a great leader of the community. He will be missed.

Sincerely,

Richard Mundo

I have worked with Austin for 8 years. He was a dear friend. I loved his sense of humor. He spoke often about his wife and children. He did tell some funny stories about his children....I find it hard to believe he is gone. When he was recovering, he told me how he could not have gone through this without his family and he realized hou lucky he was to have all of you. Please know that he will be missed by not only me, but by all the "gals" at the YW. We loved him dearly.
