Not sure what to say?

April 05, 2011
Dear Emily, Fred and Libby,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss of your dad. I am a close friend to Emily since Jr. High on... (Farmington). I lost my dad to cancer Dec. 2009. I remember your dad as such a delight and joy! When I called for Emily, yes, land line, he sang Em...ily to call her attention. When I came over he was so delightful. I just thought he was so brilliant and loved the arts. I will always remember when he took Emily, Sunny and me to Yale art...

My sincere sympathy on your loss. Many years ago I was a student nurse at Jeff and was sent in to assist your father when he did his very first spinal tap. I remember he was very nervous and probably was afraid he would hurt the patient, I knew then he would be a very caring and compassionate physician. I had also been sent to the medical college the previous year to interview your grandfather on the subject of electrophoresis and I was terrified. He sat down with me and very patiently...

Emily, Libby, Fred and your families,
Our thoughts are with you as you deal with your father's passing. I still think of our house as yours in a very real sense; it echoes sometimes with the music made here by your father and you. I tend trees your mother planted and think of her. May your own memories of your special parents bring you comfort and peace. With love, Lynn and Jack Cavo

Dear Emily, Libby, and Fred,

Diana Fanning told us today of your father's very recent death and his memorial service at St. Stephen's in Middlebury. We are deeply and saddened and in disbelief. He was (as was your mother) a vastly vibrant presence and had a profound effect on so many lives: yours most especially; those of fellow musicians; those of fellow scientists, physicians, and professors; and, of course, those of all his friends. We fondly recall early March 1976, when we...

Emily,Libby and Fred,
Sorry to read today of the loss of your Dad. I will always remember working at you home in Farmington and seeing the instruments lined-up in the living room ready for their playing. Your parents were quality people, friendly and devoted to all of you.
My thougths are with you during these difficult times.
Larry Rose Farmington

I am deeply sorry for the untimely loss of Dr. Bill Sunderman, Jr., my dearest friend, a life-time scientific mentor and collaborator, and a wonderful personality! His thirst for science, working enthusiasm, and international leadership skills led him to many pioneering discoveries on cancer causation that inspired my own scientific research and will continue to guide generations of his followers all over the world. I am proud of having the opportunity of knowing him and will miss him...

To Bills Family,
I share your loss, the loss of your Father, amd my good friend since Navy times. We have shared many successful meetings of the Association and an occasional personal visit to our homes.
