F.E. “Bud” Ison, 76, of Sherwood, passed away Friday, November 19, 2004. He was a Charter member of Gravel Ridge First Baptist Church, Campers on Mission, a Gideon, and an active member of First Baptist Church of Sherwood.

He is survived by his wife of 51years, Ida Mae Ison; son, Joseph E. Ison and wife, Christie, all of Sherwood; two daughters, Jackie Finkbeiner and husband, Alex, of North Little Rock and Karen Albright and husband, Jimmy, of Milan, Italy; brother, William H. “Sonny” Ison, of Benton; sister, Norma Ruth “Sue” Westenhaver, of Cabot; five grandchildren, Stacy McBain, Melissa White, Brian Chapman, Jarett Chapman and Morgan Ison; and two great grandchildren, Alyssa Chapman and Leah McBain. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Sherwood, 206 Fairway, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120 or Alzheimer’s Arkansas, 10411 West Markham, Ste. 130, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday at First Baptist Church of Sherwood. Burial will be in Gravel Ridge Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170, online obituary and guest register at www.northlittlerockfuneralhome.com.

Ida,& family,was so sorry to hear about Uncle Bud,he & Ida took Becky and I to church for so many years those are some are fondest memories with them, when we growing up besides family get togethers,We'll miss him dearly.

I was shocked to learn about Bud's death. Our heartfelt prayers go to your family. Bud was one of those people that only comes along every once in a while. The world will truly miss him. Sorry we can't make the funeral.

Jerry and I were very dismayed to learn that our special friend, Bud, had passed away. You and Bud have always been a tremendous blessing to our lives. We have been enriched just knowing you both. Bud will be sadly missed, but we know that he is now in the Arms of our Lord.

Gary and I knew Bud and Ida through our Alzheimer's Support Group. We didn't know Bud long, but we loved and cared for him very much. He was a guest in our home several times and we really enjoyed him. God love Bud and his wonderful family.
