F. Walter Gleason

We landed in Heath in 1970 and Walt was our closest neighbor. We had little in the way of money and tools, or know-how, but a VW Microbus full of enthusiasm. Walt and Sue supplied us with fresh milk at a dollar a gallon and a wealth of free advice. He knew every one of his sixty cows by name. Walter was the very first person we met when we purchased our property adjacent to his in 2016. He quickly became a good friend, stopping by frequently to check on our progress with the renovation of our house. He and my husband Stanley would share stories of farm and country life for hours. We loved Walter and will miss him.
