F. John Pylman Jr.

we have lost a real good man and band director.

Mr. Pylman, you will be greatly missed by us all. My husband and I still talk about having you as a substitute teacher. You left a lasting impression on us all. You will forever be remembered!

Mr Pylman, Easton and WUHS will not be the same without you. Some of the best times from High School were on the various band trips, Long Beach 1971, Concord & Merced festival where I can proudly say I was part of the at least 13 straight Superior ratings. Band class taught not just music ,but a lot about ourselves Mr Plymans way of calling you "Doctor" was a honor even if it was pointing out a mistake we made. F. John is fondly remembered from my high school years in band and orchestra. He along with his predecessor George Nixon, built an award winning marching band program at Washington Union High School. F. John was a kind man with a tremendous sense of humor. I feel fortunate to have been one of his students (Class of 1960).

F. John was an intrigal part of the Visalia Lions High School Band Review for many years. His guidance and untiring love for music and the musicians will be missed. May God give his family peace during this time of loss.

Mr Pylman, may God bless your journey back to heavens. Thank you for all your help in helping me with the fundamentals of learning and playing the tenor sax. I am also glad that you became a conductor and my daughter was able to meet you at Fresno hi, for she also took up the saxopone, until we meet again.

Mary Helen I am so sad to have read of John's passing. My prayers are with you and the family. What a great husband he was to you.
