F. Bennion Redd

My heart goes out to Bennion's family at this time of grief. My family lived by Bennion for just one year in 1971-72. He and my father were good friends. My father died in 1973 and Bennion remained good friends with my Mother until his death. he showed her much support as she struggled in raising her family. I know she really appreciated his friendship over the years. I enjoyed stopping to see him whenever we visited Monticello. He will be missed by all who knew him. Sincerely, Kathy...

We moved to Monticello 1958-1964 with the Seminary Program. The Bennion Redd family was so much a part of our lives. With the Seminary next to your home, we often visited with Bennion and Ivalou--over the fence and sitting in their home.
We were involved in many plays and musicals with them. We have known every one of you children. Don, we have dear memories of you during your years in Seminary-classroom experiences, fun parties, biking up Blue Mountain, hiking among the ruins...

I have fond childhood memories of going to visit my mom's cousins down in Monticello...they were such a large and fun family, and they fixed ebelskivers for breakfast...yummy. Bennion is such a good, caring, and fun man...I'm sure you will miss him greatly. We send our love to all of you....Shannon (Betty and Elden Taylor's daughter)

Even though so much time has passed, I still have fond memories of taking chocolate-chip cookies to Bishop Redd. He was a great mentor, so kind and thoughtful and made feel so good. I offer my sympathies and comfort to his family at this difficult time. Goodbye neighbor.

For anyone that lived in Monticello at anytime over the past 75 years, Bennion will always hold a special spot in their hearts. He did so much and never sought special recognition from anyone. I would that I could be as great a man.

What a great guy Bennion was. Totally honest, caring and helpful. He was a man's man. I only have known Bennion for the last 10 years but you knew he lived at a higher level. I will miss seeing and talking to him when I come to Monticello.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Bennion. He was an icon around Monticello and San Juan County and will be missed. We offer our love and prayers to the Family for your loss.

Bennion was remarkable in his generosity.
My mom and I looked forward to seeing him for a warm evening of Utah hospitality. I will ALWAYS remember his generosity to my entire family. He showed me on two wonderful drives the magnificent beauty within 50-75 miles of his beloved Monticello. He also gave me great advice on State Roads to visit other beautiful sites in Utah. I am very sorry I never convinced him to let me drive him to Arches National Park. He had NOT visited Arches National...
