Fairol R. Gibbons

Fairol Gibbons, age 87, of Cove, passed away Friday, October 30, 2009 in DeQueen. He was born August 23, 1922 in Vandervoort, Arkansas to the late William Marcus Gibbons and the late Annie Parker Gibbons. He was united in marriage to Marie Burk. Mr. Gibbons served in the United States Army. He was a timber worker by profession and he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, brother, and friend. Survivors are: Wife: Marie Gibbons of Cove, Arkansas Son: James Gibbons and wife Joyce of Cove, Arkansas Sister: Velma Rowton of Kelso, Washington 5 Grandchildren 6 Great Grandchildren 4 Great Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Annie Gibbons, his son, Marvin Gibbons, a granddaughter, Laura Gibbons, his brothers, Denvard and Ednel Gibbons, and his sisters, Orabell Bailey and Doyce Crawford. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Church of the Nazarene with Brother Larry Davis and Brother Ron Ladd officiating. Interment will follow in the Cecil Chapel Cemetery in Vandervoort under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
