Faith, my cousin, became my shepherd when I, too, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 3 years ago. She was post treatment and cancer-free at the time. I called her after every doctor visit for her help in navigating the journey.

She was so loving and so committed to Jesus that our conversations improved my own spiritual life. Though we werent face to face, our phone calls helped me so much! She was in my life and on the journey with me. She will be in my heart forever.

She was born late in the year, separate from the early Jan- early Apr grouping of all her seven siblings
She wept when she read "Heidi"
She liked to show off her double-jointed
elbows
She was teacups and little hand-carved wooden boxes and woven cane and needlepoint and dulcimers
She made 40-some quilts
She visited covered bridges
She was a fan of John Denver
