Not sure what to say?

There was a post on Facebook about the Myrtlewood lounge the other day, and I remembered that Coach Purcell had owned it at one time. I was so sorry to hear that he had passed away. I remember him from school, he was always very friendly, and had such a love for life. Rest in peace, coach.

I'm almost 60 & every once in awhile I think of one of my favorite teachers, but could not remember his name!! It just came to me today.. I looked him up & found his obituary.. Mr. Purcell was so sweet & kind.. He new I was she & he never called on me to speak out loud..I was to shy to even talk to him lol..but he knew, he always greeted me with a smile.. I don't ever remember being grumpy.. I do remember he smelled so nice & always very well groomed.. It seems like he was a gum...

R.I.P. Uncle Farrell. You're missed and loved

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of "Mr. Purcell" (Kids of the fifties and sixties always called our friends parents Mr. and Mrs.) I love all you guys so much. Sammie (Pam) was (is) my best friend, and Val (Moki) and Little Farrell (Boy-Boy)and Bev xoxoxo (My second Mom) were my best friends too. "Big Farrell" or Mr. Purcell, was like a second Dad to me growing up. I have great memories of camping trips, catching giant, pollywogs, strawberry/chocolate malts, riding in his jeep, with...

Sad to learn of Coach's passing. I do recall his upbeat manner and was kind; I wish I was on one of his teams back during my time @ Zane.. You have my sympathy.

Purce you were without a doubt the best coach I ever had, and one of the best men I ever met. I was honored to have you as a friend.

Coach,
I had the chance for having "Coach" in my life when I was growing up and went through Zane Junior High School. There never a time when Coach didn't have a momment of his time or a positive word for anyone of his students. Many a time I tried to win a game of ping pong with the "Coach" but to no luck!!! Best Coach I ever had!!!!!!

You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
