Not sure what to say?

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

I just learned of the passion of the Reverend Darrell James when I just found out that The right Reverend, Sandra Wilson passed away on April 16th 2025. This has been an overwhelming day of learning. The two wonderful peoples life is no longer with us but always with us in the spirit. I had opportunity to know each one of them from Saint Mark's Episcopal Church was the church I grew up under Father, Aaron J cuffee in the late Bishop clearance Coolidge Reverend darryl james rest in peace also....

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Father James was a beautiful soul full of life and compassion for others. He was my neighbor, friend, and a faithful member, as a youth, at St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Richmond, Virginia. May his soul rest in peace and rise in glory,

He was a caring, intelligent, gentle, soul, whom always knew what to do & say to comfort & eased all who were in his company, with a story to tell!
You will be missed but never forgotten, ever!
May you rest in sweet peace. Job well done!

Darryl and I grew up together in Richmond, Va. His late dad and my late dad grew up together in the 1930s in Richmond's Jackson Ward. Darryl was family, We also attended Howard U at the same time. All of us were delighted that he chose to go to divinity school at Yale. My first time attending his service was at his church in Chicago. I was so thrilled and proud of him. Darryl had a very kind heart and sparkling personality. I am so heartbroken about his passing. I am praying for...

You are an amazing man, brother, and friend. I will always love the blessings you deposited into my life!

Father Darryl James crossed my path in 1976 at Howard University in Washington, D. C. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. I was a naive country girl from Louisiana who made the Pyramid pledge line of Alpha Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Compassionately, Darryl had someone tape encouraging notes on my and other line sisters' dormitory doors in Bethune Hall. I cherished and saved those notes, especially two written on April 3, 1976. One note stated how proud he...
