Not sure what to say?

Ron was one of the kindest people i have ever known and played such a great role in my and my wifes life
he was taken too soon but is an angel among us

On the anniversary of his passing, I reflect with love and gratitude on my experiences with Ron. He hired me at Gay Men's Health Crisis and was a caring, smart and generous mentor. He set a high standard to which I aspired but couldn't always reach. His faith & empathy, as well as his humor, was an inspiration. My life has been changed by his presence. He once told me, at a time of great pain, "we don't always get to know why or how, we're but human." I return to that wisdom again and again.

Looking back at the obituary for this man, I can see he truly lived his faith. He married friends of mine many years ago. May he rest in peace.

Ron and I worked together for 4 years in the Buddy Program at GMHC. Ron was a unique and special soul. He was truly a man of God and a man of his word, holding honesty, integrity and commitment above all else, even his own needs and comfort. When I found the long lost grave of my paternal grandfather, I asked Ron to come to NYC to perform a graveside service so my elderly father could attend and have closure and healing for his lifelong pain of losing his father as a child. When my partner...

Very sad to hear this. A wonderful human being.

I went to St. Matt's grade school in Philadelphia - Fr Hoskins gave my class (1977) our First Holy Communion. My mom still has a picture of Father and I outside of church after the service. Morning has Broken was played at that mass and till this day whenever I hear that song I think of that day. He was a wonderful person . May you rest in peace .

We met in NYC at the Gay Alliance

Father Hoskins was one of the most wonderful, caring individuals I had the pleasure of calling him Friend.

Ron, what a privilege to know and work with you at Gay Men's Health Crisis. You were nothing less than the embodiment of all that our work stood for, and you were a daily inspiration on how to love and care for people with humility and grace, in the midst of the devastation and cruelty of the epidemic and the public opprobrium that we faced. I learned so much from you, you gave us all strength, and wisdom, laughter, and love. You will never be forgotten.
