Not sure what to say?

Who wasn't drawn in as a family member by Tio Fausto? My brother and I were both marveling one day about the great Spanish professors we had at HCC. In time, we figured out that we were talking about the same person. Great isn't an adequate enough of a word to use here. He was a very bright light from God.

Still missing you wherever you are, thank you for being a friend

As one of his former students, I never quite got the chance to go back to visit to thank him for the great masterpieces he would perform in every class I had attended for the four semesters of Spanish grammar that I took. A brilliant light. One in many million for sure. I have spoken of him often not knowing of his passing. It was a great honor to know him and I am certainly a better person as a result.

I will continue praying for you. You are greatly missed. I´m sure you are in a better place

He visto su foto ahora y no he podido dejar...

I was going through teaching notebooks from days gone by last night & found a few memos from Fausto as chair of the language & arts department @ HCC Southeast. I decided to google his name & was saddened to find his obituary. I greatly admired him & enjoyed working under him as an ESL teacher in the late 90s & early 2000s. Dianne Sharr

Oh wow... I know this is a very late entry, but I must enter my words for a man who will forever be in my memory. Dr. Vergara hired me...this spoiled African American girl, straight out of the TSU Master's program. He was the most calm, intelligent, patient, charming boss I had ever had. He saved me so many times. He went to "bat" for me on several occasions. He taught me how to be a professional and teach students of a different culture. He could have easily hired someone with more...

Hello, I knew Fausto back in the '50s. I went to Puebla to visit Gonzolo and Gloria Bautista. I was 13 yrs old. I met Fausto at that time and we fell in love as teenagers. He was my first boyfriend. I remember his parents and his brother Gustavo. I would visit them for dinner. We went to the movies, bowling and had this wonderful innocent love. The following year, Fausto visited my family in CT.during his school vacation. I think he was 16yr then and I was 14. We wrote to each...
