Not sure what to say?

I worked with Fay Redwine when I was a medical student at MCV in the late 80's. She was instrumental in my decision to be an OB/Gyn. I still have fond memories of her excellent teaching style and bedside manner. I was very sad to read of her death in the MCV alumni magazine.

Whether at MCV or at St. Mary's, Dr. Redwine always had a kind word and a smile for everyone she met. Richmond is a poorer place for her loss.

Fay was a wonderful person. I knew her when I was a medical student and then also as a resident in OB-GYN. A smart, energetic and thoughtful person who was also a great technician. She was wonderful with patients and knew how to live outside of medicine. I think often of the many things she and Patty Hays taught me. She will be missed.

Tom,

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Although I did not know Fay that well, the few times I did meet her she seemed like a person who enjoyed life and made the most of it. May you find comfort in your time of need.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. My husband is in the Military and we got a referral to see Fay because of our High Risk Pregnancy. We immediately liked her and she made us feel at ease with her words. I was to see Fay on March 18th, but she wasn't there. Today I found out the very sad and shocking news. God Bless you!

My sympathies to the family. The memory of her smile and compassion is ever lasting.

The joy of living sometimes comes in the fierce and ruthless battles of life. God Bless her, she will be missed by many.

My sympathy is extended to Dr. Redwine's Family. She was my doctor during her beginning practice and she was always a joy.
May she rest in peace.

I would like to express my deepest sorrow for the loss of a fine person and excellent physician. Dr. Redwine touched many people in her life, and gave a chance for many a child to live. The Richmond community has suffered a tremendous blow with the passing of such a skilled practitioner. I am grateful to have been treated by Dr. Redwine, who gave my own twins their opportunity to live.
