She called me her brother. You had to love how she always spoke her mind. I just found this news and not sure how to react; sad, shocked, sad. Demetrice; Thanks for brightening my life. You are missed and will always be missed. RIP.

To my friend from elementary school all the way through college and even after we kept in touch all the way up until death. I would always remember the telephone calls, letters, and visits. I will always cherish the memories that we shared together and our birthdays especially, the 23rd being mine and the 24th being hers. I will never forget you and I will always love you.
