Not sure what to say?

Ms Holman lived across the street from me in Wlder, VT. I was around 7. She gave me a copy of "Silently, The Cat, and Miss Theodosia". This book with Harvey Dinnerstein´s illustrations inspired me to draw. Always on my bookshelf and always representative of my early life in VT. I went on to earn my BFA and pursue a career in Graphic Design. I still have and cherish this book some 50 years later. I only wish I would have let her know prior to her passing. Thank you, Ms Holman. Sincerely, Robbie

Recently, I picked up a copy of a reading book my class and I used in third grade, and it has “Elisabeth the Treasure Hunter” at the end. This was my introduction to Ms. Holman’s work, although I am well past the target age she wrote for, I am grateful that one of her works was a part of my childhood. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I just learned that your mother passed away. I wish I could have told her how reading The Wild Children changed my life, and sparked a life long passion for Russian history. May she rest in peace.

my condolences to you on the passing of your mother. i read her book Slakes limbo in the 8th grade. it had a huge impact on my life and development as a being. it fostered in me a broader perspective and a greater understanding of human circumstances. it taught me to want to learn when no one cared to teach me. it taught me to move with purpose when others sought to hold me back.

I have just learned of your mother's passing. Your mother's book Professor Diggins Dragons has had a profound impact on my life and I wish that I had the opportunity to tell her. Thank you for sharing her with the world.
