Smith, Bizzell & Warner Funeral Home Obituary

Felicia "Lisa" Stanley unexpectedly passed away and entered into heaven, returned to God's presences and the arms of her predeceased mother, Kathy Goodman and father, Bennie Stanley Sr. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at her home in South Bend Indiana.

Felicia who was endearingly called "Lisa" was born on August 9, 1971, to Katherine "Kathy” Goodman and Bennie Stanley Sr.  She was raised in Hammond, Indiana with her loving brother Bennie Stanley Jr. and her extended family sister, Kelly Stanley, who preceded her in death. Lisa attended Hammond High School, graduated with her GED certificate in 1990, and pursued to further her education through some paralegal colleges' courses.

During the early years of Lisa's Journey, she was blessed with her first child, Joel’vonta (Jo) Stanley Sr. and continued to be graced with two more children: Leonardo "Leo" Perez and Shardae Benton. Continuing her lineage is Lisa's amazing grandchildren: Joelvonta (Jojo) Jr, Jolie, Athena, Ethan, and Janova.

Lisa was a loving, compassionate, and kindhearted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and niece. Through her exuberant personality, benevolence, and keen fashion sense it was undeniable that her presence was always known. Rather it was through a plate of food, a loving message or phone call, or a warm hug, it was evident that you could always feel Lisa's love.

To reflect on those precious moments and memories, Lisa leaves her three children sons: Joelvonta Stanley and Leo Perez and daughter, Shardae; brother, Bennie Stanley (Dawn and Morgan); five grandchildren: Joel'vonta Stanley Jr., Jolie Stanley, Athena Perez, Ethan Stanley, and Janova Stanley, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and extended family.
