I'll always remember Felix for having a special type of old school, understated grace, dignity, and class that's rarely seen anymore. For an impressionable young man like me back in the day he was strong, positive influence in his quiet way without either one of us knowing it at the time. I've never forgotten his appreciation of the value of the small, important things in God's creation. And as painful as his no-car-radio policy was for us back then, that legacy has lived on! Barbara,
Just wanted to let you know how sad we were to learn of your father's passing. We only knew him for a short time at the nursing home but he & you were a ray of sunshine at mealtimes. His smile will truly be missed. Our condolences to you and your family.

I first met Felix in 1973 when I joined the Saxton Band. He was a valuable member of the band. If the band was short on trumpet players, he would play trumpet. If we needed a trombone player, he would play trombone. His son John also played trumpet in the band. Later on, I played with Felix in the "For Dancers Only" big band where he played trombone. Felix was a talented musician and a man of great character. I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Felix's family. He was a loyal Rotarian and served the Clifton Springs Rotary Club, his community and his country well. We will certainly miss his detailed documentation of local history and people in his life.
