Felix J. Viera, 74, of Newington, beloved husband of Priscilla (Rivera) Viera, passed away at his home on August 11, 2023. He was born on March 17, 1949 in Arroyo, Puerto Rico to the late Herminio and Carmen (Garcia) Viera.
Felix was a God fearing man, a leader and speaker for the Hispanic community. He was a radio personality for many years and through that he became well known as “El Viejo De La Casa”. Even though that was his profession it was truly what he enjoyed doing the most. He also enjoyed reading, studying the Bible, listening to music and spending time with family.
Felix is survived by his wife Priscilla Viera, his six children Felix J. Viera Ramos of Florida, Carmen P. Viera Ramos of New York, Alba N. Viera Pagan of Ohio, Reynaldo Viera Gonzalez of Glastonbury, Yilmary R. Morgan of Newington and Angelica M. Perez of Plainville, twelve grandchildren Genesis Viera Ortega, Christian Viera Ortega, Alanys Viera Ortega, Dorianyeli Carrillo Viera, Sharade Carrillo Viera, Jose A. Ruiz Viera, Karla Viera, Yandiel A. Viera, Reynaldo Viera Jr., Nyla Z. Rivera, Nieco Z. Morgan and Kairo Z. Perez, two brothers Nelson Viera from Newington and Hector Mendoza from Puerto Rico. He also leaves behind an extended family that he loved very much. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Edna Y. Viera Ramos.
The Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 2:00 PM- 5:00 PM, at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield.
