Not sure what to say?

To the Family of Dr. Canteenwalla: I used to work with Doctor in the BMC ICU and always admired his soft-spoken manner. He was so well liked and so knowledgeable in his field that he made everyone at ease due to his quiet manner at the bedside. He will be greatly missed.

With all our sympathy on Ferdauz's passing.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the Canteenwalla family. He saved my life three yrs ago at the young age of 43, after a bad accident. he made me feel so comfortable with his warm ways and gentle smile! The world has lost a wonderful doctor.

To the family of Dr. Canteenwall I would like to express my deepest sympathy. Dr. Canteenwalla saved my life in 1993 and again in 1995. He was a very special surgeon and a very special person he took the time to explain to myself and my family everything that was going on. He was in special contact with my other doctors to be sure everyone knew what was going on because of multiple problems. He took the time to go with me when special procedures were done to be sure they were completed...

I had the pleasure of working for Dr. Canteenwalla until i delivered my son Jack in 2001. I have never met a sweeter doctor. Canteen had a way of making all of his patients feel better. Alice - he loved you very much, I still can remember him tugging on your ear lobe, you made him smile. He will be missed by all.

Thinking of you,
Kathleen Dorman

My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Canteenwalla at Holyoke Medical Center. He was very compassionate and soft spoken, he cared very much for his patients. He left a lasting impression upon me and he will be greatly missed.

To the family of Dr. Canteenwalla, I would like to express my sincere sympathy to you all. I worked with Dr. Canteen for over 19yrs. My coworkers always kidded me that I was his "personal" nurse. I admired and respected Dr. His quiet humor always put a smile on my face. He will be missed terribly. I am so fortunate to have seen him a few days before he passed and we had the oppourtunity to share memories. My heart hurts. The world has lost a wonderful man.

My sincerest sympathy to the Canteenwalla family. I had the honor of knowing Dr. Canteenwalla through the years at Mercy. He was such a calm and caring and always friendly person on the phone when he would call the switchboard and request to be connected to an area.So many patients will always be so thankful for his compassion and skill that he had as a surgeon. He will be missed by so many here. Comfort and peace to all. Sincerely, Christine Tougas, Communications at Mercy Medical Center

Alice, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Dr. and I worked together for about 24 years in surgery at the Holyoke Hospital. He talked of you quite often to me when we were working. It was an honor to finally meet you at Dr. Shah's, son's wedding. My thoughts are with you and your family.
