My father, Charles J. Greenebaum, was a first cousin of Ferd's. My grandmother, Amy Kramer Greenebaum, was a sister of Ferd's father, Uncle Adie. I have lovely memories of visiting Ferd and his family in Highland Park when I was a child living in Chicago. Mort and I send our love and condolences to you all.

Ferd's father and my grandmother were brother and sister. We didn't see Ferd often but meetings were always pleasant. Both Lilli and I are very appreciative of Julia's genealogical work on the Kramer family. We're sorry for the loss and sympathize with you all.

While our contacts were brief, and occurred toward the end of his career, it was easy to see the strength and integrity which brought him so much success. I will always consider it an honor to have known him.
A long life, well spent, is in itself a comfort to Mr. Kramer's family and close friends. Nonetheless, it is obviously...
