Not sure what to say?

Uncle Andy, I miss you dearly. You taught me about the focused way you approached sailing and all things. I was happy for the free advice you often gave..I love you, only wish I'd known you better.

To the Schoettle Family, I am so glad that I got to know and sail with Andy and to see first hand his warm smile. My deepest sympathy. He will be missed. George Ireland

Derek and the entire Schoettle family - my prayers and with you during this time. May your father rest in peace.

It was wonderful to see you at the Hall of Fame dedication to you and others.
From a fellow sailor.

My deepest condolences. I was honored to have worked with Andy while he was at GMU Law. Any time that I saw Andy and Berkie coming down the hall, I knew it was going to be a good day.

To Andy,
Thank you for your confidence in me while crewing for you in the "C's" in Minnesota during the eighties. You demonstrated to me the finest example of gracious sportsmanship and humble expertice on the water and land.
Derek, I remember we crewed with your Dad one summer race weekend.
Your company on the Birkibiner ski races cheered me during the long slogs and slow tracks.
My best wishes are for you and your family and they are shared by all at the U of...

We will miss you Dad and are we are all smiling knowing that you are in a more peaceful place sailing downwind. We love you.

I knew Andy as a Classmate at Princeton. Our paths would glowingly cross at Reunions. Andy was an adornment of our Class. Mike Robbins '55
