Not sure what to say?

Uncle Ferdie wasn't just an uncle to me and my Dad. He was a saint. Everyday my Dad would call Uncle Ferdie to tell him how his day was, bad or good. Sometimes my Dad called him just to have a conversation. Whenever Uncle Ferdie came to my house he would always have conversations with me about school. He always liked to talk to me about social studies. When it was breakfast time he always had corn muffins. He told me it was his favorite muffin. Uncle Ferdie knew alot. He used to read a ton of...

He came to my wedding in 2006 and I was so glad to connect with him and find out what a kind man he was, and how easily he smiled. My deep regret of course is not pursuing the converstions that might have been-about life in Staten Island and hearing more...

Ferdie wasmy husband, Fred's, childhood friend and lifelongfriend to both of us. He introduced us more than 54 years ago and is godfather to our daughter, Christine. His gentle and subtle sense of humor, his keen mind and caring personality will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his dear extended family. Carol Bielefeld
