Not sure what to say?

Catherine,Darrell and Darren,
Mrs. Fern meant the world to me. I will always remember how she would just tell me to go on and the work at school would get done. I never feared leaving classroom activities for her to do because I knew that they would be done when I returned. I am so sorry for your loss and will continue to keep great memories of Mrs. Fern in my mind.

Catherine,
I just heard the news of Miss Fern's passing to a better place. You know I love you and your family and hope you are comforted knowing her struggles here are over. She was an inspiration to me and I still "sit up straight" because she tapped my head so many times while I was in her classes and told me to. That instruction has stuck with me forever as many other helpful instructions. She taught me in 1-3 and again in 7 & 8th grades. 5 years total of my 8 elementary years so...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Catherine and Family,

Mothers influence our lives forever--
you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Catherine and family,
We were priviledged to have known Fern for many years. She was a special person with such a love for children.
She taught several of our children and they all loved her. She certainly had a gift and used it to help many, many children. I worked with her in the cafeteria at Whitt School and then stayed with Litt for a short period when he was sick and I found her very easy to work with. I know you will certainly miss her but her memories will live on.

Catherine and family,
Just read the paper and saw that your Mom has gone on to Heaven.. I know your pain but I also know she has a new body now and we can look forward to seeing her one day..
God Bless you for being such a wonderful daughter to her..

Catherine and Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I will miss seeing you at the Lakewell House.

Catherine and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God wrap his arms of comfort around each of you. Mrs. Fern will be missed.

Mrs. Fern was my 4th grade teacher and my favorite teacher in all my school years. I have heard many other classmates and school mates in other grades say the same. She made learning fun! She was tough, but fair, and so much fun. She touched so many lives and made lasting memories for all the kids she taught. I cannot tell you how many of my baby teeth she pulled (in the restroom at school even before I got into her class) because they were so loose they were about to fall out and I was...
