Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the family. Fern was a special lady of many talents, her contributions to her community will be remembered. I enjoyed some art classes with her, she was a talented artist and she kept us laughing during class with her dry wit and great sense of humor. It was a joy to know Fern. Love to you all.

Hal and Jimmie, we are so sorry to hear that Fern is no longer with you. There have been some difficult years for you and I know you're thankful she's no longer ill. I'll NEVER forget driving her and Sharon to Chapel Hill when you Hal were hit by the train. May the Lord give you peace and comfort and be with you through your grieving process. With prayers! He is the God of all comfort!

Fern was such a sweet, loving and talented lady. Your mother always had a sweet smile and spoke words of encouragement. She was my 4-H leader and my VBS teacher at Bethel Methodist Church. Your mother helped me to make a 3-piece dress/jacket/scarf outfit which I modeled and won on the county level for 4-H. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I know that the Lord will bring comfort.
