Fernanda “Mama” (Manna) Davidson, 87, died Tuesday in a local nursing home surrounded by her loving family. Fernanda was born and raised in Fano, Italy. She lived in West Springfield for 30 years before moving to Southwick 20 years ago. She was a small parts inspector for Smith & Wesson. Fernanda is survived by her children Robert, John and Donald Franco, David Davidson, Gabriella Presz, Paula Wells and Melina Elderkin. She also leaves many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Unit C-2 at the Jewish Nursing Home, especially Maria, Shalimare, Diane, Vonnie, Peter, Arnold, Roger and Opal, for their exceptional care provided. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday at 11:00am with burial in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service Friday morning from 10:00 – 11:00am. For more details please visit curranjones.com.
